ok here's the update the day got better i ran a 9.0 today i think the driver is getting better with seat time lol i am hoping with alittle more seat time and small adjustments it will be running 8.90 then it will be time to turn on the bottle woohooo.
hey big white and slow i saw you out there we were on are way back to the pits i don't know if you recognized me or not.

herb got his license runs done 9.91 and a 9.97 boucing off the rev limiter we need to change his gears and i think he will be running 9.8's on motor and then we will see what he does on the bottle we are hoping for a 8.99 just so he can have the slip then he will back it down to a 10.00 flat and start running brackets

I'm gonna try. Making alot of changes. Car hasnt been out since dec. 08. Put the glide in, adding a transcooler, Ignition swap, bigshot plate, completely rewiring the car, 2nd fuel system and 1gal cell for the N2O, gear swap(4.56 to 4.11), swapping the detroit locker for a spool, new exhaust. Money's always tight so progress is slow.

Wow, you *have* been busy !!!!

Have you ever used a locker ? I found that it took a little getting used to, driving it on the street. I know that you will not likely notice the behavior but it was a bit odd until I (think I) figured out what was going on.

While driving down the road and nailing the throttle, the back of the car would sort of jump a bit either to the left or the right. I think I figured out that there was some about of slack in the locker until applied power forced both sides to drive equally. The result was a slight drive on one side or the other til it synched.

At the track it's not a problem I don't think. Coming out of the water box the locker was in synch and both sides driving when leaving the line.

Has anyone else noted this behavior ?

I dont street drive the car, but i noticed it right away. I'd have to blip the throttle while rolling through the water to lock it up. What I'm worrying about is the fact that there'll be no load on the rearend with the transbrake, like there was footbraking. I don't want the car to jump sideways when i let go of the brake.

And Rob, no i probably won't be ready. I'm lazy so I don't work on it as much as I should and my buddy who does my welding is out of town for a couple of months.
